AUSTINTOWN-Private family services will be held for Elizabeth Scarpine age 90 of Austintown who passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon at her home. Elizabeth was born September 15, 1913, in Blysdale, Pa., the daughter of Dominic and Clorinda Paglieri Partezana. She was raised in Shadyside, Ohio and had moved to this area as a young girl. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Anthony Church, the Columbian Federation Lodge, the I.T.A.M Post # 3 ladies Auxiliary, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Meander Aerie # 3298 Ladies Auxiliary in Austintown. Elizabeth will always be remembered for her wisdom, and advice to family, and friends on all matters pertaining to life. She will also be remembered for sharing one of the great joys in her life, for the past 45 years Elizabeth made it a tradition to invite extended family, and special friends to a traditional Italian Christmas Eve dinner, complete with all of the Italian delicacies, and her special home made spaghetti.
She is survived by her two daughters, Clara Carl Nunziato of Boardman, and Lucille Taylor of Canfield, a son Victor Claudia Scarpine Jr., of North Aurora, Ill., a brother, Dominic Partezana of Lisbon, Oh., three grandchildren Elizabeth Lally, and Mark and Stephen Taylor, three great-grandchildren, Chase Taylor, and Maria, and Philip Lally, her close friend and neighbor Evelyn Horvath, and her special friend and cousin Madeline Dickey.
Her husband Victor E. Scarpine whom she married in 1936, died June 21, 1975. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rita Jones, and Nancy "Chance" Packard, and a brother George Partezana.
