AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Monday morning at 9:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church for Elizabeth Anne Wigley age 80 who passed away Thursday at the Milford Fillmore Suberban Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y. where she had been staying with her son.
Elizabeth was born December 23, 1926, in Philipsburg, PA, the daughter of John Albert and Edna S. Smith Mellin.
She was a graduate of Philipsburg High School and later came to the Youngstown area in 1955. Mrs. Wigley had worked as a secretary at Parkview Counseling Center for over 22 years before retiring in 1990. She was a charter member of St. Joseph Church.
Her husband Charles J. Wigley, Jr. whom she married August 18, 1951, died January 29, 2003.
She is survived by her two sons; Mark A. Catherine Wigley of Poland, and Charles J. Wigley III of Buffalo, NY, two grandsons; Adam R. and Logan R. Wigley, a brother in law, Willard William Wigley of Pittsburgh, and two sisters in law; Lu Ann Mellin of Manitowoc, Wisconsin and Verna Appleton of Geneva on the Lake.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother John A. Mellin.
