POLAND - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Christ Our Savior at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers for Ellen Rose Dennison, 83, who passed away Wednesday at her home.
Ellen was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Youngstown.
Ellen attended Villa Marie for three years and then graduated from The Rayen School. Prior to being a homemaker and taking care of her four children, she worked at Livingstons and Youngstown Sheet & Tube. She was past president of the Trailwood Gardeners and was a member of the Dance Club, Skopis Club and Bridge Club. She was a friend of Mill Creek Park and volunteered at the Red Cross. Her favorite charities were the Easter Seals and Paralyzed Veterans of America. She enjoyed antiques and was an antique dealer.
Ellen leaves her husband of 63 years, Paul R. Dennison, whom she married Dec. 27, 1947; two daughters, Karen Daniel McGarry of Poland and Molly Dennison of Columbiana; two sons, Patrick Gail Dennison of Orlando, Fla. and Tim Dennison of Poland; six grandchildren, Ellen Jean McGarry, Ashley Noel Dennison, Evan Patrick Dennison, Daniel Paul McGarry, Timothy Joe Dennison, and Connor Patrick Dennison; and a great-grandson, Jack Patrick Price.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; Helen M. Brislane; Ann Brislane; sister Ellen Rose Brislane; and her mother and father-in-law, Rose and Joseph Vincent Dennison.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
