Emery Ellis

Youngstown - There will be services Tuesday at 9:30 AM at St. Maron Church for Emery E. Ellis, 94, who passed away early Saturday morning at Greenbriar.

Emery was born March 30, 1912, a son of William and Wanda Nobles Ellis. Emery was formerly of Bath, New York.

Emery served in the Army in WWII. He was owner and operator of Ohio Heating Services until his retirement in 1974. Him and his wife were avid boaters with Ashtabula as their home harbor. He was past chief commander of the US Power Squadron from 1968 to 1969. He was also past commador of Ashtabula Yacht Club in 1959. He is also a member of St. Maron Church.

His wife the former Sara T. "Sally" Yazbek whom he married Oct. 6, 1943 died May 5, 2005.

He is survived by a nephew Lee Della Abbott of Pensacola, FLA, a great nephew Aaron Abbott of Cali, a brother -in-law Elias P. Mary Ann Yazbek of Austintown, a sister-in-law Genevieve Yazbeck of Youngstown, several nieces and nephews and will be especially missed by a niece Carole A. Yazbeck of Canfield.

Besides his wife and parents he is preceded in death by a sister Marion Abbot in 1953, and a niece Louise.

Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Boardman-Canfield Chapel and Tuesday from 9 to 9:30 AM at St. Maron Church.

The family request that material tributes take the form of donations to either St. Maron Church Scholarship Fund or St. Theresa Center on Volney Rd. in Youngstown.
