NORTH LIMA - Ethel L. Sheridan, 87, passed away Wednesday at Assumption Village.
Ethel was born Oct. 3, 1929, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Merle and Leora (Berkibile) Bender.
Ethel was a 1947 graduate of South High School and resided in Austintown for 58 years. She worked for various companies over the years as a personnel secretary, retiring in 1982 ,from Wean United. Ethel enjoyed volunteering and also did ambliopia screening for preschool children.
Her husband was the fire chief at Youngstown Sheet and Tube.
Her husband, Richard F. Sheridan, whom she married May 22, 1950, passed away Aug. 25, 1968.
Ethel leaves her daughter, Jill (Charles) Burley of Austintown; a son, Tom (Susan) Sheridan of Boardman; and two grandchildren, Molly Sheridan of Beacon, N.Y., and Ryan Sheridan of Los Angeles.
She was also preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard "Rick" and Joni Sheridan; a granddaughter, Erika; a sister, Betty Armstrong; and a brother, Harold Bender.
Ethel's wishes were to have no calling hours or services.
