Austintown - Services will be held 10:30AM Monday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and 11:00AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Austintown for Eugene Schrecengost, 72 who passed away Thursday with his family by his side.
Mr. Schrecengost was born October 4, 1933 in Youngstown the son of Frank and Eva Smith Schrecengost.
He was employed as a lineman for Ohio Bell and later Ameritech for many years, retiring in 1994. He served his country with the United States Navy. He was a member of the Amatuer Poolplayers Association APA and the former Ohio Bell Bowling League.
His wife, the former Jessie Schiffhauer, whom he married October 27, 1962, passed away September 1, 2003.
He leaves a daughter, Diane Robert Kunkle of Austintown, a son, Robert Sherri Schrecengost of Austintown, a brother, George Dorothy Schrecengost of Missouri, and 7 grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Marcus, and Mitchell Schrecengost, and Justin, Danielle, and Hannah Kunkle.
