YOUNGSTOWN - Private funeral services will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery for Eva C. Humphreys, 93, of Park Vista, who died Saturday afternoon at Park Vista.
Eva was born in Sykesville, Pa., on June 24, 1916 to the late William and Ethel Fillhart Carney. She moved to Youngstown in 1926.
She was a member of the Brownlee Woods Presbyterian Church for 70 years and was currently a member of the Heritage Presbyterian Church. She was a Sunday School teacher and Superitendant of the Primary Department at Brownlee Woods for 25 years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. Humphreys Sr., whom died April 11, 1989; and a son, Thomas P.Humphreys II.
She is survived by her two sons, Jim Nancy Humphreys of Rochester, N.Y. and Dave Margie Humphreys of Porland, Ore.; five grandchildren; five great-granchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Bob Murphy of Austintown and Marg Zima of Youngstown.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the church.
