YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church for Faye Elizabeth Aliff, 56, who died Sunday evening at her daughter's home after a courageous nine year battle with breast cancer.
Faye was born May 2, 1955, in Youngstown, the daughter of Kenneth and Ilene Hines Kiger.
She was a 1973 graduate of The Rayen School and had worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital in its medical records department for over 31 years until April of 2011.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, The Glow Girls, was involved in the Relay for Life and the Woman's Renewal at St. Christine Church.
Faye loved spending time with her family and friends, she loved watching her grandson play baseball and most of all, she loved being a NaNa.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Bill Revak of Youngstown; a grandson, Nicholas Revak; two sisters, Vickie Michael Pallota of Canfield and Linda Allen Shahin of California; a brother, Ray Kiger of Boardman; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Schreckengost; and a brother, Earl Kiger.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel and Friday for one hour prior to services at Zion Lutheran Church.
The family would like to thank Dr. Modic, Dr. Chahine, their staff, The Glow Girls and all the friends who were there for them during her battle. Most importantly, the family thanks the wonderful staff of the Hospice of the Valley for the care and support through the final stages of her life.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley in Faye's memory.
