SEBRING ? A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Tuesday, at the Holy Family Church, and prayers offered at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel for Firmin A. Farragher, 86, formerly of Oran Dr. in Youngstown, who died early Friday morning at Crandall Medical Center.
Firmin was born March 24, 1923, in Youngstown, to the late Francis and Katherine Raub Farragher.
He was a member of St. Christine Church, the Bears Club, the Saxon Club, and the Sebring Country Club. Firmin was employed by General Fireproofing for over 40 years as a painter, material handler, and foreman.
Firmin was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, 69th Infantry.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Kathryn Dougherty; five brothers, Robert, Frank, Theodore, Fred and Paul Farragher; and an infant sister, Rita Farragher.
He is survived by a daughter, Margaret K. Farragher of Tamarac, Fla.; a son, Michael F. Inge Farragher of Poland; a sister, Marge Yash of Ft. Myers, Fla.; two brothers, Earl Farragher of Austintown and Wendell Rosemary Farragher of Boardman; three grandchildren, Robert Farragher, Matthew Farragher and Mary Kathryne Rob Farragher-Evans
Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
