CANFIELD - Memorial services will be Sunday afternoon at 4:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Florence C. Anderson age 81 formerly of Canfield who died Thursday evening at St. Elizabeth health Center.
Florence was born January 9, 1925, in Youngstown the daughter of Jack and Frances Kirchner Shea.
She had worked in sales at the J.C. Penny's Department Store in the Mahoning Plaza for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Conersburg Baptist Church, an avid reader, and loved to cook and bake.
Her husband Carl O. Anderson whom she married September 2, 1941, died March 24, 2001.
She is survived by a daughter Carla K. Thomas Murray of Phoenix, a son Roark E. Patricia Anderson of Youngstown, a brother Glen Shea of Florida, four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a son Lawrence Anderson, two sisters Ruth Herdman, and Dorothy Sweeney, and four brothers, John Frank, Harry, and Ralph Shea.
