Florence Pezzenti

BOARDMAN - Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel for Florence Marchando (Marchionda) Pezzenti who passed away on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018.

She was born on Feb. 17, 1920, in Aaronsburg, Pa., a daughter of the late Thomas and Garnet (DeNell) Marchando (Marchionda).

Mrs. Pezzenti was a homemaker and avid gardener; she also enjoyed cooking and baking delicious Italian specialties for family and friends.

She was a member and deaconess of The Church of Jesus Christ. Mrs. Pezzenti loved and cared for her family and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as the greatest joys in her life.

Her husband, Albert Pezzenti, whom she married Sept. 28, 1947, died on Nov. 6, 1999.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Paul (Karen) of Cincinnati; two daughters, Jan (John)  DePasquale and Denise (Mark) Soccorsi of Boardman; four grandchildren, Renee Dota Boston of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Dennis Dota Jr. of Boardman, Natalie (Justin) Shawver of Cincinnati, and Anthony Pasquale of Boardman; five great-grandchildren, Alaia and Jaylen Boston, Madelynn and Lillian Dota, and Graham Shawver; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rosalie; four brothers, Glenn Marchando, Albert Marchando, John Marchando, and Alex Marchando; an infant brother, Orlando; four sisters, Pauline Ritz, Pearl Pento, Adeline Sherman, and her twin Anne who died at birth; brother-in-law, Carl (Maria) Pezzenti; and sisters-in-law, Mary Pezzenti and Connie Matovich.

Mrs. Pezzenti’s family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Judy and Dusty Bolembach, Bonnie McCallister, and the staff and nurses at Beeghly Oaks for all of their loving care and support that was given over the years.

Family and friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
