AUSTINTOWN - A memorial Mass will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Florence Patricia Sigler, 82, who passed away early Saturday morning.
Florence was born Nov. 5, 1926 in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of Leo and Florence Margaret Moriarty Sigler.
Florence was a graduate of Sharon High School and Slippery Rock University. She began her teaching career at the Rayen High School for 20 years, then South High School, retiring in 1981.
Florence leaves her good friends and adopted family, Joan Deck, and Helen Hetson; and an aunt, Merl; and cousins, including Jean Miller of Brookfield.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Sigler; and her stepmother, Myrtle.
Material tributes may take the form of donations to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O. Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515.
Arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
