Florence Stillwagon

POLAND - Prayers will begin at 11:30 AM Saturday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 12 Noon at Holy Family Church for Florence "Betty" Stillwagon age 88 of Poland who died Wednesday morning at Maplecrest Nursing Home. Betty was born April 25, 1920 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Earl and Clara Nell Mullins Craig. She was a beautician and owner operator of Betty's Beauty Shop out of her home in the Buckeye Flat section of Youngstown. She was a member of Holy Family Church and its altar and rosary society. She had belonged to several area card clubs and enjoyed dancing, golfing and especially crafts.
Her husband George C. Stillwagon whom she married January 9, 1946, died December 28, 2001.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Kordovan and Clara Nell Craig.
Friends may call from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Friday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market St. Youngstown, Ohio 44512 in Betty's memory.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Maplecrest Nursing Home for their excellent care during Betty's stay.
