AUSTINTOWN - Private family services will be held at a later date for Florence Mae Taylor, 93, who passed away Friday, at Hospice House.
Florence was born April 5, 1923, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Merle and Mildred (Hill) Jugenheimer.
Florence graduated from Chaney High School. She was a cashier for 17 years at Grays Drug Store. She was a member of the Mahoning Methodist Church and a lifetime member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 3298.
Florence was a proud member of her 500 bid card club, which she started 73 years ago, and played in until recently. Her daughter continues to play cards in the same club. Florence enjoyed roller skating and was dancing well into her 80s.
Her husband, Ernest K. Taylor, whom she married in April of 1945, passed away Dec. 11, 1986.
Florence leaves her daughter, Sandi (Robert) Pallo, with whom she made her home for the past seven years; Kenneth (girlfriend Tonya) Taylor of Geneva; Keith (Cindy) Taylor of North Lima; two grandchildren, Amy Taylor and Steve Taylor; two stepgrandchildren, Courtney (Carl) Alleger and Dawn Pallo; five great-grandchildren, Daniel, Ryan, Trinity, Penny and Griffin; and two brothers, Bill (Alice) Jugenheimer of Hubbard and Ron (fiancee, Gloria) Jugenheimer of Panama City, Fla.
Florence was also preceded in death by a grandson; a sister, Mary Lou Jugenheimer; and a brother, Robert Jugenheimer.
The family would like to thank hospice for the wonderful care she received in her last days.
