Floyd Clark

YOUNGSTOWN - Floyd R. Clark, 78, entered into eternal rest May 23, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Floyd was born March 24, 1940, in Claysville, PA, the son of George William and Martha Mae (Simms) Clark.

He graduated from Claysville High School in 1959. He began his career as the manager of Anton's Truck Stop in Claysville. After being seriously injured he attended Pittsburgh Barber School and became a barber at Al Sposey's Barber Shop. He moved to Youngstown shortly before beginning his 36 years of employment as a pressman at the Youngstown Vindicator where he retired in 2002.

Floyd enjoyed spending time with his extended family, telling stories of his truck stop, visiting Claysville, watching birds, doing jig saw puzzles and camping. He attended Four Mile Run Christian Church and more recently the Canfield Christian Church.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Margaret Rae Zeller Clark, whom he married Dec. 21, 1967; son, Raymond (Gabrielle) Clark of Leetonia; daughter, Angie (Matt) Mraz of Austintown; siblings, Kay (Bill) Clark, Ruth (Roberto) Clark-Serra, of Youngstown; Fred (Evelyn) Clark, Betty (John) Sopiak, Alice Trefnoff, all of PA,; Glen (Linda) Clark of Florida; seven grandchildrun: Danette (Kevin), Charlene, Alexandria (Mike), Nicholas, Matthew Jr., Austin, Payton; and 5 great- grandchildren: Michael, Allie Rae, Carson, Alexander, and Mya.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Alma Hancher, Wanda Boyle and Ettie Breese; and brother George Clark Jr.

Family and friends may call Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 11am to 1pm at Four Mile Run Christian Church where a service will immediatly follow.

Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
