COLUMBIANA - Private services were held for Frances D. Buxbaum, 84, who died early Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, surrounded by her family.
Frances was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Hooversville, Pa., the daughter of Frank and Mary (Premik) Mincek.
She was a graduate of Boswell High School and was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family.
Frances enjoyed cooking, baking, and most of all, the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, James H. Buxbaum, whom she married Aug. 19, 1953; five daughters, Carol (Timothy) Ward of Austintown, Christine (Richard) Bellino of Canfield, Mary (Ray) Dota of Austintown, Barb (Daryl) Yoder of Columbiana and Janice (Jack) Morse of Austintown; four sons, James Buxbaum of Columbus, Joseph Buxbaum of Austintown, David Buxbaum of Columbus, and Matthew (Amy) Buxbaum of South Carolina; three sisters, Marge Hunter of Pennsylvania, Barb Rush of Pennsylvania and Rose Postich of South Carolina; two brothers, Frank (Mary Alice) Mincek of Cleveland and Stanley (Janet) Mincek of Cleveland; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ed Mincek.
Professional arrangements were handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
