Indianapolis - There will be services Thursday at 9:15 AM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and at 10 AM at St. Christine Church for Frances Griffin, 61, formerly of Warren, died Sunday, August 12 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born January 25, 1946 in Washington, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Dr. Sol and Elizabeth Winters Klatman.
Frances was a hairdresser and a manager of a local hair salon. She was also an office manager of an Indianapolis real estate firm. An accomplished musician, she loved animals and the outdoors.
Frances is survived by her husband John E., of Indianapolis, whom she married April 12, 1969; two daughters, Christine Griffin of Washington, D.C. and Johanne Griffin of Somerville, Massachusetts; a brother, David Klatman of Warren; three sisters-in-law, Dwyn Griffin Richard Peake, Patricia Haitz, Mary Eileen Charles McAtee; a brother-in-law, Michael Patricia Griffin; five nephews, Martin, James, Matthew, and Mark Haitz, and Timothy McAtee; and five nieces, Elizabeth Kelly, Karen Eberly, Sharon Nivert, Erin Kay Griffin, and Brenda McAtee.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Kathleen L. Griffin.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
