Frances Vadjunec

NORTH LIMA - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Frances Marie Vadjunec, 95, who died Thursday morning at Assumption Village.

Frances was born July 27, 1918, in Youngstown, to Anthony and Elizabeth (Jakubec) Tkalec.

She attended the Rayen School and was a member of the PTA. Frances was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family.

Frances was a former member of St. Casmir Church, where she was a member of the women's club.

She enjoyed baking and playing bingo.

Her husband, Walter G. Vadjunec, died June 4, 1980.

Frances is survived by a daughter Cynthia (Chuck) Pallai of Youngstown; three sons Carl (Daneen) Vadjunec of Berlin Center, Walter "Sonny" Vadjunec of Little Rock and Robert Vadjunec of Delaware, OH; a daughter-in-law Debbie Helber of Delaware, OH; ten grandchildren, Nicole, Stephanie, Shelby, Cassandra, Michael, Amy, Lindsay, Matthew V., Michael and Matthew; six great-grandchildren, Aiden, Tyler, Zachary, Madelyn, Amelia and Gabby; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son Steven Vadjunec; five sisters, Julia Komanack, Katie Gora, Eva Briya, Mary Tkalec and infant Rose Tkalec; four brothers Steve, George, Anthony and John Tkalec; and a daughter-in-law Renie Vadjunec.

Family and friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 PM and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am Saturday at the funeral home.
