YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be Friday at 12:00 Noon at the Higgins-Reardon
Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Frank Colonna age 84 who passed away early
Tuesday morning at Liberty Health Care. Frank was born November 6, 1923 in
Youngstown the son of Patsy and Mary Pachell Colonna. After attending Chaney
High School Mr. Colonna worked as a train engineer for the Canegie U.S. Steel's
Ohio Works for over 40 years before retiring in 1980.
He was a former member of St. Edward Church enjoyed gardening of all types and
was an avid baseball fan especially the Cleveland Indians.
His wife the former Patricia A. Harrison whom he married June 8, 1946 died
November 13, 1997. He is survived by his daughter Maureen Gene Livi of Girard,
a nephew Jeff Carey of Youngstown whom he raised, three grandchildren Jennifer
Livi of Cleveland, Gene Livi Jr. of Girard and Tricia Robin Jamieson, two
great grandchildren Ava and Halle Jamieson, two sisters Tennie Phillips of
McCook, Nebraska, and Clara McCaughtry of Austintown, and a brother Joseph
Helen Colonna of Austintown.
Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by four sisters; Rose
Fusco, Mary Ferraro, Carmel Colonna, Jenny Trebella and two brothers Tony
Colonna and Phillip Colonna.
Friends may call from 5 PM to 8 PM Thursday and from 11:00 AM to Noon Friday at
the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
The family would like to thank the staffs at Liberty Arms and Liberty Health
Care for the personal care extended to Mr. Colonna during his stay.
