POLAND - Prayers will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church for Frank L. Dietz who passed away May 24, 2014, very peacefully at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Frank was born Oct. 19, 1931, in Youngstown, a son of the late Frank J. and Anne (Yurick) Dietz.
Frank is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alberta; a son, Frank (Paula) Dietz; two daughters, Linda (Don) Marrie and Marla; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Steven, Eric, and Michael; a sister, Mary Lou Fuchs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was also preceded in death by two sisters, LaVerne Romack and Dolly Green.
Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Army. During his service, he was stationed in Korea and attended Youngstown College after his discharge.
Frank was a dedicated and hard-working man. His work ethic was exemplary. He worked for AT&T as a lineman and cable splicer for 38 years. Frank and his father built several homes together. He also worked for himself and several contractors and found time to manage and coach a little league baseball team in Poland.
Family and friends may pay their respects Today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
