Frank Kolesar Jr

CANFIELD - Private family services were held today at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Frank W. Kolesar Jr., 73, who died Wednesday, Jan. 7, at his home.
Frank was born July 16, 1941, in Youngstown.
He was a 1959 graduate of Poland High School where he excelled in football. He accepted a full athletic scholarship to New Mexico State where he played football.
Frank had a long career working for Allied Farm Equipment, the Sharon Packing Company and had worked as a landscaper for local golf courses.
After his retirement, Frank enjoyed spending time fishing, watching sports and the casinos. His zest for life included his love of good food and good company. Frank was an excellent story teller, he loved to make everyone laugh with his stories and would light up the room with his smile.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Ginger (Dave) Bulkley, with whom he made his home; a son, John (Brenda) Kolesar; grandchildren Jennifer (James) Wise, Raymond (Chlesea Regano) Lonsway, Tori Kolesar, Taryn Kolesar, Darby Kolesar, Frank Kolesar IV, Joseph Kolasar and Michael Kolesar; daughter-in-law Jeanne Kolesar; and a great-grandson, Noah Lonsway.
He is also survived by his mother, Irma Kolesar of Poland; his dear companion, Betty Morgan; sister-in-law Linda Schmidt Shutrump; and his brother-in-law, Robert Schmidt.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, the former JoAnn Schmidt; a son, Frank Kolesar III; a grandson, Kevin Kolesar; and his birth parents, Frank W. and Betty (Ifft) Kolesar.
Frank's family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the donor's charity of choice in his memory.
