YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church for Frank T. Lawrence, 72, who passed away Thursday morning at Shepard of the Valley in Boardman.
Frank was born Feb. 25, 1940, in Youngstown, a son of the late Alfred T. and Mary C. Flood Lawrence.
Frank was a 1958 graduate at Ursuline High School and a 1963 graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelors degree in Business Administration and a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity.
He served in the Army National Guard Frank worked in the Hydraulic Sales Department at Commercial Intertech, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and their Men's Club and Golf League. Frank was also a member of the YMCA, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 3298 and an avid water skier.
His wife, the former Carol Anne States, whom he married Feb. 14, 1970, passed away Aug. 25, 1997.
Frank leaves his two daughters, Karen E. Lawrence of San Diego and Maureen A. Lawrence fiancé Jeremiah Garza of New Braunfels, Texas; his son, David M. Lawrence of Austintown; his two sisters, Mary Ellen Joseph McAuley of Holly Springs, N.C. and Kathy Bob Thorne of Berlin Center; his three brothers, Ray Bev Lawrence of Girard, Jim Janyce Lawrence of Boardman, and Tom "Noodle" Lawrence of Boardman; his fiancé, Estelle Ring of Boardman; his brother-in-law, Jim States of Boardman; his lifelong friend, Jerry Occhibone; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Material tributes may take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley.
Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
