BOARDMAN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with Fr. Tom Ziegler officiating, who is a very close friend of the family, for Frank G. Magmore, 61, who passed away Wednesday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown from complications from muscular dystrophy.
Frank was born June 22, 1954, in Youngstown, a son of John F. Magmore Sr. and Peg R. (Fire) Magmore.
Frank attended St. Patrick and St. Charles School. He graduated from Cardinal Mooney in 1972, and from Youngstown State University in 1977. In 1978, Frank moved to California and was a dietary technician for Mercy Hospital from 1978 to 1990. In 1991, he came back to Boardman. He was a member of St. Charles Church. He was also a devoted and active member of the Mother's Against Drunk Driving in honor of Cathy DiVincenzo.
Frank was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan, but he would watch the Pirates and the Steelers with his mom. He also enjoyed shopping and baking cookies.
Frank leaves his mother, Peg Magmore, with whom he made his home in Boardman; a sister, Donna Magee of Cortland; two brothers, John Magmore of Fairbanks, Alaska and Michael (Debbie) Magmore of New Springfield; a special sister-in-law, Carol Magmore of Sumner, Wash.; five nieces and nephews, John and Michael Magmore, Jennifer DeMain, Tim (Jamie) DeMain, and Maribeth DeMain; seven great-nieces and great-nephews, John and Marcus Magmore, Natalie Morelli, Tyler and Morgan DeMain, Mahki DeMain, and Jordan Patrick Magmore; and his godfather, Charles Fire of Tallahassee, Fla.
Frank was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Magmore; and maternal grandparents, Patsy and Marie Fire.
Family and friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Frank's family would like to thank the Boardman Fire Department and Lane Ambulance, along with everyone on the fourth floor of the CMICU for all of their outstanding care and support that was given to the family. They would also like to thank Dr. Naples, Dr. Hanna, and Dr. Boulis and a special thanks to Dr. Tamulonis and Dr. Cropp for their excellent care for the last 25 years.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to Akron Children's Hospital Boardman, 6505 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
