North Jackson . . Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Frederick D. Hale age 73 of North Jackson who died early Thursday morning at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Fred was born Sept. 29, 1931 in Youngstown, a son of Percy and Ione Hoover Hale.
He was the owner of Hale Construction since 1955 and built his first house at the age of 18. Fred attended the First United Methodist Church in Austintown and was a dedicated supporter of Stonecroft Ministry and the Rescue Mission of Youngstown and enjoyed woodworking and carpentry.
Fred is survived by his wife the former Patricia Mills whom he married Sept. 1, 1950; a daughter Diana Jones of Austintown; a son Daniel F. and his wife Cindy Hale of North Jackson; 2 sisters Margie Spatafore of Austintown and Audrey and her husband Richard White of Cleveland; a brother James and his wife Shirley Hale of Austintown; 4 grandchildren, John and Marley Jones and Joshua and Jared Hale; 3 great-grandchildren Jordyn, Ryan and Aidyn Jones. Friends may call form 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 -8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 10:00 a.m. till the time of the service at the funeral home on Monday.
