Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 4:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Road, Youngstown for Gayle S. Roh George, 51, of Canfield, who passed away peacefully Sunday morning, February 3, 2008 at Hospice House.
Gayle was born April 28, 1956 in Youngstown to Myron S. and Roseanne Sikora Roh. She graduated from Canfield High School in 1974 and received her Bachelor's Degree from Youngstown State University. She also held an Associate degree from The Atlanta School of Fashion and Design. She later worked at YSU as an academic advisor in the School of Business. Most recently, she was the manager of the gift shop at The Butler Institute Of American Art. She had also served as President of the Youngstown Symphony Guild. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Gayle will be dearly missed by her children, Alexandros Evan, Brooklyn, NY and Leigh Anne, Canfield, her mother, Roseanne Roh, brother Mark Mary Roh, Pittsburgh, Pa, sister Rebecca Wayne Tennant and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Myron, and her niece, Lulu.
Friends may call Wednesday, February 6, 2008 from 5 - 8 pm at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel and from 3 - 4 on Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church prior to the service of thanksgiving for Gayle's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Valley.
