BOARDMAN - George "Tom" Hamburg died suddenly early Saturday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Tom was born March 1, 1942, in Sharon, Pa., the son of Harry J. and Mabel (Edgell) Hamburg.
He was a 1960 graduate of Sharpsville High School. Tom worked as an account manager for Panelmatic for 41 years until his retirement in 2004.
Tom is survived by his wife, the former Arlene A. Nickerson, whom he married Aug. 3, 1963; a daughter, Sally (George) Weisbarth of Lakewood; a sister, Margaret Ann Songer of Galion; two brothers, Harry E. (Ethel) Hamburg of Sharpsville, Pa. and William I. (Brenda) Hamburg of Nashville, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Emily and Jonathan Weisbarth.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Calvin Songer.
