POLAND - Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel for Georgine "Genie" C. Miller, 54, who passed away Sunday at Hospice House with her family by her side.
Genie was born Feb. 25, 1960, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late George and Norma (Wolfe) DiMartino.
Genie was a 1978 graduate of Struthers High School. She was a licensed optician and manager of Vision with Style for 12 years. Genie was also a Ruby Team member of the Brodell Medical Relay for Life team and this year was the co-captain for the same team.
Genie leaves her husband, Walter P. Miller III, whom she married May 21, 1983; two sisters, Linda (Robert) Clyde of Struthers and Karen (Barry) Silver of Poland; her goddaughter, Michelle Clyde; her mother and father-in-law, Walter and Shirley Miller Jr. of Youngstown; her sisters-in-law, Debbie Gallagher of Struthers and Cathy (Rex) Glasgow of Pataskala; a brother-in-law, Fred Miller of Reynoldsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
