Diana, TX - Services will be held 9:15AM Friday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and at 10:00AM at St. Brendan Church, Youngstown for Gerald A. Schooley, 85 who passed away Monday morning.
Mr. Schooley was born July 21, 1920 in New Castle, PA the son of Charles and Mary Fee Schooley. Mr. Schooley served his country during World War II with the United States Army as a Surgical Technician.
His wife, Alberta M. Schooley, whom he married in December of 1947, passed away December 31, 1998.
He leaves a daughter, Mary E. John Colwell of Diana, TX, 4 sisters, Rosemary White of St. Petersburg, FL, Kay O'Leary of Las Vegas, NV, Grace Quinn of Greensboro, NC, and Annie Kline of Tarrington, WY, and 2 grandchildren, Sarah and Melissa Colwell.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bernard and Paul, and 2 sisters, Blanchie Schooley and Charlotte Scott.
Friends may call from 8:45AM unitl 9:15AM prior to services Friday morning at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Greater Hospice of Texas, 1905 W. Loop Space 81, Longview, TX 75604.
