YOUNGSTOWN-Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Gilbert Rodriguez age 61 of Youngstown who passed away early Sunday morning after a courageous battle with cancer.
Gilbert was born December 12, 1944, in Puerto Rico, the son of Antonio and Maria Serrano Rodriguez.
He had worked as a supervisor for the US Steel Plant in Gary, Indiana retiring in 1994, he had also served for and retired from the Lake County, Indiana Sheriffs Department.
He is survived by his wife the former Tammie Marie Hrusovsky whom he married August 6, 1999, five daughters, Marcicelia Rodriguez of Puerto Rico, Anita Rodriguez of Florida, Lisa Moore of W. Lafayette, Indiana, Jeanette Rodriguez of Crown Point, Indiana, and Dalia Lisa Rodriguez at home, three sons Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez Jr.of Puerto Rico, Gilbert Rodriguez II of Indiana, and Anthony Rodriguez of Chicago, a step son David Lugo at home, a sister, Maria Rodriguez of Puerto Rico, two brothers, Ted Rodriguez of Florida, and Alfonzo Rodriguez of Indiana, twenty-four grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 PM to 8 PM Tuesday evening and for 1/2 hour prior to services Wednesday morning at the Funeral Home.
