Gina Bucci

NORTH LIMA - Gina Bucci, 90, passed away on November 2, 2024. 

Gina was born on January 22, 1934, in Roccaraso, Italy, a daughter of Vincenzo and Concetta (DiBattista) Giardini. 

She immigrated to the United States with her late husband, Pietro "Peter" after marrying in Roccaraso on April 13, 1958. 

She had a passion for cooking and gardening, with a particular fondness for flowers. 

Gina was a member of St Jude Church in Columbiana, Ohio, as well as a former member of the Sons of Italy Lodge 2539. In her younger years, Gina was an active member of various bocce leagues. 

Her greatest love was always reserved for her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Gina is survived by three children, Victor Bucci of Columbus, OH, Deborah (Frank) Giardini of Downingtown, Pa., and Denise (Dale) Varner of Northfield Center, OH; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 5 siblings.

In addition to her parents and husband, Gina was preceded in death by 5 siblings. 

Calling hours will be held Monday, November 11, 2024, from 10 to 10:45 AM, at Saint Jude Church located at 180 7th St, Columbiana, OH 44408. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.
