YOUNGSTOWN - Giovanni Arseni, 85, passed away on April 4, 2025, at Mercy Health in Youngstown, Ohio.

He was born on April 23, 1939, in Puglia, Italy, to the late Giulio and Vincenza Arseni.

Giovanni was a master carpenter and cabinet maker. He applied his skills and craftsmanship to a fulfilling career at Ace Lumber. His dedication to his craft left a lasting impact on all who knew him, and he was deeply respected in his community for both his talent and his character. His craftsmanship endures throughout several landmark Youngstown institutions, each bearing the signature of his skill and dedication.

On April 16, 1966, Giovanni married the love of his life, Michelina Arseni. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared countless cherished moments. Giovanni was a devoted husband to Michelina, and their bond was an enduring testament to their love. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelina; their son, Giulio (Raquel Frindt) Arseni; his sister, Isabella (Rocco) Deiaco; and his three cherished grandchildren, Dominic, Grayson, and Sammy Arseni. Giovanni found immeasurable joy in every moment he spent with his grandchildren, whom he adored.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Giulio Arseni and Vincenza (Baglivo) Arseni, as well as his brother, Antonio Arseni. Giovanni's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will remember him for his unwavering love, guidance, and the remarkable craftsmanship that touched the lives of many.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be sent to the American Heart Association.
