POLAND - Services will be at 9:00 AM Wednesday morning at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, and at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Church for Gloria J. Centifanti age 74 who passed away Sunday at Forum Northside Hospital.
Gloria was born March 19, 1932, in Youngstown, the daughter of Ralph and Carmel Barella Capots.
She had attended Chaney High School and had worked as the cook at the Country Kitchen Restaurant for over 25 years before retiring in 2001. She was also a longtime member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
Her husband Joseph C. Centifanti whom she married June 26, 1948, died November 1, 1996.
She is survived by her daughter; Atty. Dina C. and her husband Anthony Gledhill of Hebron, KY, two sons, Joseph C. Centifanti Jr., New Castle, PA, and Jerry and his wife Chris Centifanti of Poland, a sister Judy Donato of Austintown, seven grandchildren, Jerry Jr., Lisa, Sean, Erik, Jillian, Patrick, and Bethany, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Gloria, a brother James Capots, and four sisters, Philomena Zoppelt, Mary Capots, Rose Ciminelli, and Carmel Girardi.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the St. Nicholas Church memorial fund in Gloria's name.
