STRUTHERS - A memorial Mass will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church for Grace M. Adams, 68, who passed away Jan. 15, 2011, from Pulmonary Fibrosis with her family at her side.
Grace was born June 8, 1942, in Youngstown, to the late Florence Smith.
Grace worked at St. Elizabeth Health Center as a nurse aid. She also worked at Postal Church as a packer and in retail at Jane Price Antiques. She was an avid Santa Claus collector and a huge fan of Notre Dame. She was very active with her grandchildren. She was always at basketball and volleyball games and concerts.
Grace leaves her husband of 50 years, Eugene Adams, whom she married Jan. 7, 1961; her children, Gene Beth Adams, Bill Deb Adams, Dan Patty Adams and Jennifer Bruce Adams-Thomas; nine grandchildren, Christina, Megan, Drake, Zosia, Shea, Becca, Greeve, Gracie and Sean; a brother, Charles Smith; and a great-grandson, Joshua.
Grace was preceded in death by her mother; a brother, Tom Smith; and a grandson, Ciarar.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis, 10866 W. Washington Blvd. No. 343, Culver City, 90232-3610 or the Struthers Lady Cats Basketball Program.
Arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
