Grace Crump

Canfield - Grace Ann Crump, left this world peacefully on December 25, 2024, at the age of 84

Born on November 21, 1940, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Frederick and Katherine Tyrrell Kelly.

A proud 1958 graduate of The Rayen School and a student at Youngstown State University. Grace was a dedicated professional, having worked for over 11 years as a secretary to the supervisor in the City of Youngstown Finance and Income Tax Departments. She began her journey in the workforce at Elbee's Shoes and St. Paul's Alba House, always embodying a strong work ethic and a spirit of service.

Outside of her professional life, Grace found joy in fostering lifelong friendships with her Delta Chi Epsilon Sorority sisters, enjoying over 50 years of camaraderie through their Girl's Social and Card Club. However, her greatest pride and love were for her family. Grace spent countless treasured moments with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the center of her universe.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Crump whom she married November 25, 1967; her children, Heidi Joane (Paul) Roy of Whitinsville, MA and Kevin James (Melissa) Crump of Youngstown; her grandchildren, Katherine, Aiden and Bridget Roy, and Meghan and Patrick Crump; a brother, Fred (Fiorella) Kelly of Warwick, NY; a brother-in-law, Michael Yeager of Canfield; many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary "Betsy" Elizabeth Yeager and her brothers, Thomas T. Kelly.

To honor her life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Church on December 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the calling hours at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, on December 29, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
