Guido Venditti

BOARDMAN - Prayers will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church for Guido Venditti, 92, who died Friday evening at home.
Guido was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Hubbard, to Nicola and Cherubina (Patrick) Venditti.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country during World War II.
Guido owned and operated Warren Auto Seat Company for 35 years, until his retirement in 1980.
He was one of the founding members of the Mahoning County Duck Club and a previous part owner of Beaver Lake. Guido was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and woodworking.
His wife, the former Ann Morgante, whom he married Nov. 7, 1944, died March 17, 1986.
Guido is survived by a daughter-in-law, Jean Ann Venditti of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Darren Venditti of Miami, Fla., Chris and wife Libby Venditti of Ft. Mill, S.C., and Becky Kirby and fiance Brandon Souder of Hamilton; two sisters, Fay Koop of Coraopolis, Pa. and Nancy Sabella of Hubbard; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Venditti, Randal Kirby and Crystal Hendrix; and a great-great-granddaughter, Cora Weaver.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Nick Venditti; five brothers, Arthur, Walter, Jerome, Richard and James Venditti; and six sisters, Ann Gori, Clara Mansel, Lillian Pritchard, Jean Stafford, Lucille Stafford, and Elizabeth Calvert.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
