POLAND - Prayers will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church for Guy L. Lucente, 85, who passed away early Wednesday morning at Masternick Memorial.
Guy was born Aug. 18, 1925, in Dunkirk, N.Y., the son of the late Louis and Carmel "Nellie" Barth Lucente.
Guy graduated from Wilson High School. He was a Seabee in the Navy during World War II. He was a surveyor for Marsico and Associates, retiring in 1990. Guy was a member of the Holy Family Church, Knights of Columbus 4471 and the Arco Club.
Guy leaves his wife, the former Dorothy Billett, whom he married Oct. 5, 1957; his three daughters, Mandie Jim Hiznay of Poland, Francine Lucente of Alexandria, Va. and Louise Dan Clayton of Poland; one son, Louis Lucente of Rehoboth, Del.; and seven grandchildren, Matthew, Danielle, Kaitlin, Macy, Vivien, Patrick, and Emma.
Family and friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
