LAKE MILTON - Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mitch Meadars officiating at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, North Jackson Chapel, for Harry R. Teets, 83, who died early Saturday morning at his home.
Harry was born Jan. 11, 1929, in Kingwood, W.Va., the son of Opel G. and Arizona N. May Teets.
He had worked as a highload driver for the Chrysler plant in Twinsburg, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the General Assembly Church of God.
His wife, the former Ethel M. Pyles, whom he married Dec. 12, 1947, died Aug. 1, 2011.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara James Merrill of Salem and Diane Eric Johnston, with whom he made his home in Lake Milton; a son, Gerald M. June Teets of Newton Falls; a sister, Helen Joe Gionfriddo of Austintown; a brother, Bob Mary Teets of Independence, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Jenny, Ricky, Angel, Dustin, Brian, Jason, Shawn, Vicky, and Becky; great-grandchildren Brittney, Vinny, Pauly, Presley, Kayla, Matthew, Nathan, Alex, J.T., Briona, Nicky, Dom, Vince, Shawn and Brittany; a great-great-granddaughter, Kylie; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Teets of Beloit.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard; a grandson, Jimmy Teets; a brother, John P.; and two sisters, Louise and Mary.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, North Jackson Chapel.
