Austintown - Services will be held 1:00PM Thursday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Hayden R. John, 75 who passed away Saturday evening.
Mr. John was born December 29, 1929 in Diamond, OH the son of Fred D. and Mary Ruby Scullion John.
He was employed as a relief man at Saramar Aluminum Can Company, retiring after 37 years of service, where he also served as a union representative. He also worked at Omega Induction as a furnace coil rebuilder for 10 years. He enjoyed bingo and fishing and was a most loving grandfather and great-grandfather.
His wife , Ida Marie, whom he married April 16, 1949, passed away February 7, 2006.
He leaves his daughter, Mary C. "Cathy" Larry Eckert of Medina, a daughter-in-law, Debbie John of Austintown, grandchildren, Richard Lisa John, Robert Julie John, Russell John, Julie Ron Fadel, and Amy Kevin Mineo, and great-grandchildren, Melina and Nathan John, Jared, Samuel, and Abigail Fadel, and Isabella and Christian Mineo.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert R. John, a great-grandson, Adam Fadel, a sister, Elizabeth Ripple, and 3 brothers, David, Edward, and Robert.
Friends may call from 5 - 8PM Wednesday and 1 hour prior to services Thursday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
Memorial contributuions may be made in his name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512 or Hospice of Medina County, 797 N. Court Street, Medina, Ohio 44256.
