Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel for Helen Blasko, 90, who passed away Thursday evening at the Courtyard at Lexington in Salem.
Helen was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Girard, a daughter of Michael and Mary Mikulah Blasko.
She moved to Cleveland as a child and returned here in 2009. She was employed for 30 years, on the assembly line at General Electric in Cleveland, retiring in 1980. She was a 1938 graduate of Lincoln High School in Cleveland. She was an avid traveler and had been in every state except Hawaii and Alaska. She was a member of St. John Greek Catholic Church in Parma.
She leaves her nieces and caregivers, Martha Bob Enlow of Columbiana and Michele Frank DeRhodes of Poland; and a sister-in-law, Pauline Blasko of Parma.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Michael and Joseph Blasko.
Family and friends may call Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
