BOARDMAN - Prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Helen R. Klein, 95, who passed away Saturday afternoon at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center.
Helen was born June 11, 1921, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John and Stella (Wytowich) Waters.
Helen graduated from Chaney High School. She enjoyed volunteering her time with the Democratic Party. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her family.
Her husband, Edward G. Klein, whom she married Dec. 28, 1946, passed away July 15, 1991.
Helen leaves her daughter, Linda (Robert) Helsel of Boardman; her son, Edward (Diane) Klein of Austintown; three grandchildren, Clay (Marlene) Helsel, Candace (Robert) Thomas, and Shaun Klein; and four great-grandchildren, Christopher Helsel, Meghan Thomas, Colin Thomas, and Andrew Helsel.
Helen was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth McNeil and Lucille Smith; and three brothers, Peter, Bill and Ed Waters.
Family and friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
