NEW MIDDLETOWN - A memorial Mass will be celebrated today at the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville for Helen Tabak Skripac, 87, who died Monday at Assumption Village.
Helen was born Sept. 18, 1924, the daughter of John and Mary Bobko Tabak.
She was a homemaker, a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown, where she was also a volunteer and a former member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville.
Her husband, Anthony Skripac, whom she married Nov. 24, 1945, died Dec. 25, 1977.
She is survived by her son, Paul Kathy Skripac of Boardman; three grandchildren, Brian Jennifer Skripac, Joe Jenny Rachic and Chad Rachic; five great-grandchildren, Nathan Skripac, Abigale Skripac, Ryan, Mark and Ben Rachic; and a son-in-law, Sy Rachic.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Rachic; a sister, Mary Kovach; and four brothers, John, Mike, George and Andrew Tabak.
Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
