CANFIELD - A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Austintown at 10 a.m. for Mrs. Helen "Nell" Ulicney, 84, who died Thursday morning at the Hospice House.
She was born Oct. 1, 1927, in Youngstown, a daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Whalen Niles.
Nell had worked at the Photogenic Machine Company from 1948 to 1954. She was a member of the church, a volunteer for the St. Michael's Arts and Crafts show and the Canfield Golden Agers.
Her husband, Robert W. Ulicney, whom she married March 7, 1953, died May 30, 2001.
Nell leaves one son, Jon R . Sandy Ulicney of Canfield; two grandchildren, Jill Ulicney of New York, N.Y. and Nicholas R. Ulicney of Ouasso, Okla.; one sister, Dorothy George of Austintown; two special nieces, Patricia Weaver and Shirley Signor; and many other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Catherine Heim and Florence Uber; and four brothers, Thomas, Clarence, Frederick and John Niles.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House in memory of Nell.
