YOUNGSTOWN-Services will be Monday morning at 11:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and at 12 Noon at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church for Henry A. DeCenzo age 89 formerly of Birch Hill Dr. who passed away Friday at the Brookdale Clare Bridge Cottage in Austintown.
Henry was born March 11, 1917, in Youngstown, the son of Frank and Philomena DeRamo DeCenso.
He had worked at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube from for 41years retiring as a charging machine operator in 1977. He had served in the Navy during W.W.II, was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, a former member of the Lowellville Golf Club, and enjoyed bowling.
His wife the former Mary Mikita whom he married May 14, 1947, died February 20, 2005.
He is survived by a 1/2 sister Rosemary Harris of Boardman, a brother John J. Louise DeCenso of Phoenix, Ariz., and numerous nephews and nieces including Ruth Troxil who was his caregiver.
Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by three brothers Frank, Louis, and Anthony.
Friends may call from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Monday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
