Ida Emma De Piero, 96
Austintown- a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Friday, December 21st. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Austintown for Ida Emma De Piero, age 96 who passed away December 18th at Brookdale Senior Living Center following a couragous battle with cancer.
Ida was born June 26, 1911 in Bugnara, Italy to Giacinto and Giovanna Clemente Di Piero and came to America in 1916. She attended The Rayen High School and worked at Strouss Hershberg before moving to Cleveland and then to Oakland, California where she worked for the Parker Hannifin Corporation retiring in 1975 with 30 years of service as an administrative assistant.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Pasquale Di Piero and Dante Di Piero and four sisters, Gilda Di Piero, Dena Di Piero, Clara Sferra Jones, and Ann Tomillo. She is survived by three nieces and three nephews. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Brookdale Senior Living, Clare Bridge Cottage in Austintown and Southern Care Hospice staff for their loving attention to Ida during these difficult days.
Family and friends may call from 5-7pm Thursday and 9-10am Friday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel. Prayers will be offered at 10am on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Southern Care Hospice and Clare Bridge Cottage.
