SOUTH CAROLINA - Irene G. Garcia died Oct. 16, at Palmetto Parkridge Hospital with her family near.
She was born in 1925, in Youngstown, to her loving parents Alex and Victoria (Kupinski) Bielecki.
She grew up on the west side, and later married John Garcia. She raised her family, and was also a member of St. Christine Parish for many years. Irene also had a short career at Ohio Bell, where she worked as an operator.
She loved to travel with her husband, and enjoyed their second home in Cape Coral, Fla. for many years.
Irene's husband, John, died in 1991, and her eldest son, Jim, died in 1982.
Irene leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Lori of South Carolina, Gordon of Florida, and Jackie of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Eve, of California.
She will be laid to rest with her husband at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
