Boardman . . .. .. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Christine Catholic Church, Youngstown for Mrs. Irene Taylor, age 83 of Boardman who died Friday morning.
She was born October 31, 1923, in New Castle a daughter of Joseph and Mary Kirol Gender and moved here from Chicago. She was employed by the American Can Co., and the Johnson Bronze Co. both in New Castle. She was a graduate of New Castle High School and was a member of the church and the 500 club.
Irene was married to Gordon Taylor whom she married June 20, 1953, and he died in 1988.
She leaves two daughters Robin Michael Kunz of Fox River Grove, Illinois and Chris Frank DiIanni with whom she made her home; 2 step sisters Denise Bryer of Charleston, NC and Carol Lucky of New Castle; a brother Joseph Betty Gender of Boardman and a sister-in-law Beatie Shaffer of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Timothy Taylor, a brother John Gender and a stepbrother Randy Howarth.
