Isabell Murphy

New Middletown - Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel for Mrs. Isabell "Tiny" Murphy, age 92, of New Middletown who passed away Saturday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Tiny was born February 5, 1912, in Youngstown a daughter of James H. and Martha Bell Carr Davis. She had worked the Strouss's as a cook for six years retiring in 1972. She had moved to Florida in 1977 and returned here four years ago. She is a member of the New Life Assembly Church.

Mrs. Murphy was married to the late Vernon T. Scott, Robert Oakley who died Dec. 2, 1975 and Harry Murphy who died September 14, 1992.

Mrs. Murphy leaves a daughter Anna F. Paine of Poland, Ohio ; 3 step daughters Mary Jane Woodword of Kittanning, Pa., Betty Jo Batisky of Canfield, and Jane James Colella of Poland, a son Vernon Scott of New Middletown, three step sons, Robert, Patrick, and Michael Murphy, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Ernest D. Scott, three sisters, Anna Potter, Catherine Rosenberg, LaVelda Cleaver, and five brothers, Charles, Daniel, Harold, Raymond, and Arthur Davis.
