YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Jaciel Leon, 68, who died Saturday afternoon at home.
Jaciel was born Feb. 28, 1949, in Hidalgo, Mexico, the son of Alberto and Magdalena (Cortez) Leon.
He was most recently employed as a truck driver for Valley Foods.
Jaciel enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, listening to music, traveling in his truck, working outside, and playing soccer.
Jaciel is survived by his wife, the former Nancy Canale; his mother, Magdalena; two daughters, Delilah Shamp and Monica Leon; four grandsons, Dustin Shamp, David Montemarano, Braxton Jzou and Alexander Dregich; sister Irma Leon; and nine brothers, Delfino, Jamabiel, Joel, Alberto, Fideo, Fabian, Ramon, Ismael and Abel Leon.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Family and friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
