Jack Mcclain

AUSTINTOWN - Private graveside services will be held at a later date for Jack O. McClain age 84 of Austintown who died early Sunday morning at Austinwoods Care Center. Jack was born September 8, 1923 in Austintown, the son of Eldon and Olive Shaw McClain. He was a W.W.II Army veteran and later worked as a conductor for Conrail Railroad for over 39 years before reting in 1980. He was a member of the Four Mile Run Christian Church, the Saxon Club, the St. Albins Masonic Lodge for thirty years, and had entertained children for many years as "Topsy" the clown with the Grotto.
He is survived by his wife the former Helen N. Clark whom he married June 30, 1945, two sons Jack E. McClain of Youngstown, and Richard M. Grace McClain Sr., of Austintown and a grandson Richard M. McClain Jr.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Jack McClain and three brothers Gene, Joe, and William McClain.
Arrangements are by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
