STRUTHERS - Jacqueline Parker, 82, formerly of Austintown, passed away Saturday evening at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, with her beloved family at her bedside.
Mrs. Parker was born on Sept. 29, 1934, in East Liverpool, the only daughter of Ray and Ila (McIntosh) Snowden.
Jacqueline graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1952, and was of the Protestant faith.
Jacqueline and her husband, Ted, were co-owners of Dale Cleaners, which was located in Austintown for 40 years. She had previously worked for Ohio Bell.
Jacqueline will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her for her big heart, and willingness to help anyone who needed it. She was a loving wife, caring mother, wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a den mother, Campfire Girls leader, avid cook, and enjoyed bowling. She was also involved in the Austintown PTA, was treasurer of the Austintown Fitch Cross Country Tag Along Club, and the National Institute of Dry Cleaning.
Jacqueline was an avid sports fan, and stood behind her favorite teams, the Browns, Indians, Cavaliers, and Buckeyes for many years.
She married the love of her life, Harry "Ted" Parker on Jan. 23, 1953.
Jacqueline leaves behind to hold onto all their precious memories, her daughter, Cheri (Gary) Marple of Youngstown; two sons, Jeffrey D. (Colleen) Parker of Arizona and Dr. Richard D. (Jana) Parker of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Bob (Kelly) Pirock, Aric Parker, Geoffrey (Becca) Marple and Jaclyn Parker; and two great-grandchildren, Luca and Jackson.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents.
Following Jacqueline's wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
